See the news billboards in Brazil about disfellowshipping:

a full billboard ad in my area along a busy heavily travelled highway would cost about $500.
would probably get lots of attention and maybe even a news article, who knows.
$500 is cheap and easily affordable.

hey everyone, just wondering if there's an online version of this book?
i don't know what it is about me but i have this natural aversion to actual paper books and would much rather read them online.
if anyone has an electronic copy shoot me a pm, or knows of a link where i can get an e-copy, links, i checked amazon and it's not an option to download for a kindle or anything.. the ongoing anal-retentive research for my project continues, any help would be fantastic.. thank you!.
I understand that Greg is no longer a Jehovah's Witness . In this third edition of the book, although he advocates some doctrines of the Society , still expressed disagreement with respect to others. He say that defends the teachings that seem to have solid foundation in the Bible , not going after particular interpretations.

i always found that one particularly laughable.. the jw's would always look for plaudits because they don't christen/baptize infants.
as if they are free thinking pioneers of christianity who let their children come to their own conclusions.. no, they don't baptize their children.. yet,.
they would be happy to make a life & death medical choice for them before they are even old enough to think for themselves.they are happy to have their children 'fight the fine fight' on their parents behalf all the way through primary/high school.
Here were I live (Portugal), childrens with 9, 10 years are baptized.
the link below will find the documents submitted by the prosecutor in the state of ceara, brazil calling upon legal advice that the case of discrimination against the elders of jehovah's witnesses, is scanned again and taken to the supreme court in brasilia.. .
the ex-witnesses are thrilled with what this may mean the national level as well as the possible coverage which may be either part of the media.. .
even if the appeal is without effect, a giant step was taken in the search for the criminalization of a religious body that causes much pain and humiliation to those who leave or forced to free and spontaneous will.. .

It would be good if others could do the same, probably in a joint action in court rather than individually, which would have more relevance to justice. Many did not believe that this could get to the point it reached, are beginning to have hope that justice may rule favorably in a situation that violates the most basic human rights and deprives thousands of people their dignity, love and affection of their families and companionship of longtime friends.

DGP, the issue of disassociation is important, yes, because the question is how someone who surrender of a child is a personal matter, but when a religious institution that should promote love obliges its members to ostracize those who leave is an entirely different matter .
If the posters make reference to false prophecies, etc.. will not reach the ORG. because the public in general do not know the particular beliefs and history of Jehovah's Witnesses and do not care about them, and members also will not connect mostly because they prefer to believe that here is the truth. To create a movement of solidarity with the ex-witnesses to the general public, the best way is to show the hard face of this religious organization that behind a facade of love, promotes family breakdown and the division of people who, before friends and family become stripped of the most basic rights, even violating human rights.

Hello,
Here in Brazil, something new is happening. Ex-members denounce the Jehovah's Witnesses of religious discrimination. The brazilian Sebastião Ramos (ex-JW) is the responsible for complaint. The brazilian court had rejected the accusations, but the protests continued:
Apostate Outdoor: "The discrimination continue", " The Court rejects complaint against Jehovah's Witnesses"

This is happening in the Northeast of Brazil, in Fortaleza, Ceará. The issue has gained wide repercution among the townspeople. Jehovah's Witnesses explain their doctrines with difficulties from door-to-door. They are saying they can talk with disfellowshipped, they do not just talk about spiritual matters. They're lying to people!
The Brazilian apostasy begins to gain strength!
Sorry for my bad English...
